What is a red sealing wax stick?
Sealing wax sticks are the red material with which wax seals are made. Its texture can be similar to wax or silicone. And they can be found in dozens of colors so you can combine them with your wedding stationery.
To use sealing wax sticks you need to melt them with heat. The most comfortable thing is to do it with a low temperature gun, although you can also do it manually with a special spoon and a flame from a candle or a kitchen lighter.
How do you make a red seal with sealing bars?
The first thing you have to do is melt the red bar. You can do it with a special sealing gun (which is what we recommend, because it is easier and more comfortable).
If you want to do it by hand, you have to cut the bar into 1cm pieces. more or less. Each little piece will be a seal. Put one of the pieces in a special sealing spoon and melt it with a candle flame, for example. When it melts, pour the liquid on the surface where you are going to make the seal.
If you have decided to use the gun, put the liquid sealing wax in small circles, forming a spiral, until you have a circle approximately the size of the stamp.
Before it dries, place the stamp on top of the wax and press just a little and for about 10 seconds. Then, stop squeezing the seal and leave it on top of the sealing wax until it dries.
And now you have it. Now repeat the same steps for all the stamps.
How many stamps can I make with each red wax stick?
It depends on the size of the stamp you have.
For a 2.5 cm stamp. With each bar you can make between 10 and 14 stamps. If it measures 3 cm. You can do between 8 and 12. And finally, if it is rectangular you need more sealing wax and you can do between 6 and 8 sealings.

How do you use the sealing heat gun?
You need heat because the bars have to melt in order to make your stamps.
You can do it with a sealing spoon and a candle or kitchen lighter. It is the most traditional way to do it, but also the one that will take the most time.
Therefore, we recommend doing it with a low temperature heat gun, because it is faster and easier. You just have to plug the gun in so it warms up, insert the rod and start pouring it.
Can silicone guns be used?
They are not the most recommended because they get much hotter than the special ones for sealing. And, if they get too hot, the sealing wax sticks can be damaged.
Therefore, it is best that you use a low temperature heat gun like the one we have in the store, so that your wax seals are perfect.

So you can make the seals on a non-stick sheet (like a sheet of baking paper, for example) and when it dries well you can stick them with the double-sided sealing adhesive wherever you want.
The advantage is that you can do tests until you have practice and they come out perfect. Plus, you don't run the risk of ruining the wedding stationery if the wax seal goes wrong.
